+1,

Soot is the teacher and meanwhile the friend, who helps me for almost three years!

Cheers!

Hi all.

We are currently preparing a workshop proposal for PLDI 2012 (11–16
June, Beijing). It is now roughly 10 years after the first release of
Soot and hence the main goal of the workshop will be to bring together
researchers who have worked on Soot, do use Soot at the moment and/or
are planning to use Soot in the future.

The purpose of this mail is to determine who would be interested in
attending this workshop. If you personally would consider attending,
please simply reply to this email (to the list) with a "+1" in the
body :-) Your response will help us make a good argument for this
workshop when submitting our proposal.

Some details of what we are planning:

- Submissions of short papers, e.g. about:
 - some project that used Soot and how
 - some new idea of how Soot could be used, or
 - some feature that would be nice to have in Soot
- During the workshop short presentations of those papers but also
much time to connect and interact
 - Discuss integration of existing Soot extensions
 - Discuss integration of your extension into Soot
 - Discuss important feature requests to keep Soot useful over the
next 10 years
 - Hands-on help for new Soot extenders

Questions and comments are of course welcome, too.

Best wishes,
Eric
