[Soot-list] What is the meanings of Ref ?

Hello,

I still do not understand the roles of those 'Ref's, like SootFieldRef,
SootArrayRef etc? Why 'ref'? Can I understand it as a simple wrapper or box
(like ValueBox)? Could you explain?
