[Soot-list] Beginner - Set up root

Hello everyone,

I just download the soot-2.5.0.jar, and set it in the CLASSPATH. When I run 
"java -cp soot-2.5.0.jar soot.Main" in the command, it output "


Soot version 2.5.0

All rights reserved. 

..."

Does this mean I set up soot in my computer successfully? If so, why I 
cannot output jimple file? Soot only based on Java 7? I used the Java 8
