[Soot-list] Soot handling java source files 1.8

Hi,

My first issue about going on about to use soot is to know if the tool
really processes .java files version 1.8. That said, I was wondering if
soot can convert or process the 1.8 source file and generates one [using
the -f option] with its erasure or something compatible to Java 1.4... I'm
working with a tool that perform some analysis on source code but only
works until java 1.4. If I could translate the input 1.8 to 1.4 I could
work with that tool...

Thanks much
