My personal opinion, which I'm sending now before I forget about the
facts, is that we can afford to leave a decision until a problem next
arises, at which point we may have to decide to maintain our own Soot
branch. The impression I have is that Polyglot development is mostly
stalled for now while they rewrite it in Jx.
I have changed all the nightly scripts to do an 'ant clean' or 'ant
clobber', in the hope of catching more problems like this early in future.
