The OOPSLA paper is almost ready - Julian has submitted the first version.
It needs another couple of passes of proofreading, spellchecking and so on.
If you can spare sometime in the next day, please go over it.
The only big TODO item is put out a release of abc and of the tm benchmarks;
the paper needs to point at a web location for those benchmarks.
Regarding the release, we've decided (on irc) to put out a 1.1.1 release
that relies on the apache commons collections, to be superseded by 1.2.0 in
about three weeks time with that dependency eliminated, so everyone can
enjoy being at AOSD.
I am afraid that due to family circumstances, I won't be online again until
we (the Oxford gang) meet in Heathrow to fly to Bonn.
I would like to say a *big* thank-you to Julian and Pavel, who did a
tremendous job on this paper: first through the initial tm implementation,
then in making many of the benchmarks run, and especially in the final spurt
to implement indexing. Everyone else also did a great job in getting the
paper written; the abc team is an awesome research-generating machine!
Also many thanks for the support during the past 10 days while I was unable
to concentrate properly on the paper - much appreciated that you all helped
out.
Cheers,
-Oege
