[Soot-list] Soot version 2.2.4 is now available

Dear Soot Users,

We are pleased to announce that Soot version 2.2.4 is now available at:
http://www.sable.mcgill.ca/soot/

This release contains:

1. Dava:
   - general improvements in source code quality
   - many bug fixes

2. Added *experimental* transactions/lock allocation code, including
        - may-happen-in-parallel analysis
        - interprocedural information flow analysis
        - thread-local objects analysis
        - thread-based side effect analysis

3. several bugfixes in Soot in general

Please not that this is going to be our last major Java 1.4 compatible
release. Bug fixes to this branch will likely only be committed on
request.
Soot contributors: this branch is now available for maintenance at this address:
https://svn.sable.mcgill.ca/soot/soot/branches/java1.4_comp
"trunk" will soon be switched to Java 5 compatibility mode.

As of version 2.2.0 the Soot bugzilla is available at:
http://svn.sable.mcgill.ca/bugzilla/. We encourage you to add any Soot
bugs there.

Also, as of version 2.2.0 the Soot wiki is available at:
http://svn.sable.mcgill.ca/wiki/index.php/SootProject. The Soot team
will be using this site for discussing upcoming work, so if you would
like to know what's going on look there.
